Happy Monday! Did you know the scissor-tailed flycatcher's original name was Muscivora foricatus, and the present name is Tyrannus foricatus? They changed the name due to its aggressive behavior, especially while defending their nest. They can even chase away the larger birds of prey that come close to the nest.

Amateur photo. Just to make you smile... baby Barn Swallows singing with their colorful mouth linings, bright sparkly eyes, and soft plumage. These little birds remain in the nest until they are 18-23 days old and weigh about 17.5 grams. Many baby and parent swallows learn each other's voices and stay together over migration.
