Hunts Brook Farm is a small family farm in Quaker Hill, CT. We grow vegetables, cut flowers, herbs, and berries and are continuing to grow every year! We have a CSA, a farm stand, and also go to local farmers markets.

A belated post! This picture may not look like much to the casual observer but to farmers its super exciting! As this high tunnel, or The Big House as we call it, has aged the base boards had deteriorated around the perimeter of the house. This was allowing pests into the greenhouse which equals spring frustration with our seedlings! Jenna Aldrich came this summer, trenched both of the side walls, removed old materials and installed a new system that should last a long time with minimal maintenance! We love the results! Please support your local farmers!!

Thanks to my friend George, We will have some of the earliest paw paws I can remember at the market tomorrow from 9-1 . We have also had an amazing pepper harvest this week so I will also be roasting sweet bullhorns and hatch chilies. can't wait to have that smell fill the air. Hope to see you there

Sashimi on the right, Demeter on the left. Beautiful, consistent cucumbers on both varieties this year. Sashimi is a customer fave, with Demeter new this year. Its a keeper. Find both at our market here at the farm Saturday morning 9 to 1 and Sunday at Chester Sunday Market 10 to 1.

Its pepper season here at the farm! Just over 200 pounds of these beauties picked this afternoon. Lots of big blocky peps for stuffing on the farm stand tomorrow 9 to 1.

River Tavern has arrived at the farm and that means it is farm dinner time. Tonight is our first dinner for 2026 (sold out). We look forward to welcoming you all for a delicious meal prepared by Jonathan Rapp and the staff of River Tavern. Meals are created using freshly harvested vegetables from Hunts Brook Farm as well as local meats and seafood. A few tickets left for Aug 7th... dinners.at.the.farm

ITS ALMOST THAT TIME!! Hunts Brook Farm hosts River Tavern for dinners.at.the.farm July 31 Aug 1, Aug 7 Aug 8 . There are a few tickets left! These beautiful meals are created by Jonathan Rapp and the staff of River Tavern and served right in the meadow with a view of our vegetable fields. The menu is created based on the days harvest. Fresh and l ocal meat, seafood, dairy and eggs are also incorporated into these farm to plate meals. This photo is of the corn that will be served. We will enjoy this corn more than usual this year as this planting has survived geese, lava temperatures and finally an aggressive storm recently that flattened the plants to the ground!! Still standing!!Tickets make great gifts! See you there
