Due to an internal promotion (hooray!), we are now hiring for a Produce Manager in our Quincy store. This full-time position is scheduled Sundays through Thursdays. This role requires supervising staff, fiscal management, purchasing, overseeing the operations of the produce department, working as part of the management team, and providing excellent customer service as part of front end store operations. ServSafe Manager Training is required. If you have a background in retail, especially grocery experience, and/or frontline management, please consider applying today.

Soup is BACK, and we’re not even a little bit sorry about it. 🥣🔥

Starting this Monday, the 14th, soup is officially returning to the hot bar at our Quincy location. (And yes—Portola already has the pots going. They’re ahead of the game over there.)

We’re teaming up with PRS all month long to support Plumas County Kids and shine a bright light on two critical issues: domestic violence and food insecurity.

Every non-perishable food item you donate helps local families in need. Drop off your canned goods, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, and other shelf-stable essentials now through September 25th!
Just look for the big purple collection box right at the front of the store — we’ve got them at both locations, so it’s easy to stop by and give.

As fall approaches and we move toward the end of 2026, it is time to apply for Co-op Community Fund (CCF) grants, which will be awarded in early 2027. The CCF is an endowment fund created by co-ops in conjunction with the Twin Pines Cooperative. Grants will be given to organizations whose purpose and activities address at least one of these issues: Agriculture, Food & Hunger, Environment, Community and Cooperatives.
