Dram Tree Sauce Company

I came up with the recipe over a 48 hour period, tested it once, and submitted the recipe. Liked the flavor but didn't think much would come from it. Boy was I surprised when they told me I was chosen to be 1 of just 5 sauces making it to the final tasting and I was even more surprised when my sauce placed 3rd. Since then, many of you may have received it as a holiday gift but that was about it. I

have heard a lot of great feedback so I am taking a gamble and launching the Dram Tree Sauce Company in earnest. The Dram Tree is/was a historic tree along the Cape Fear River. Upon passing the tree on their entrance to the channel, sailors would drink a dram of rum or grog to toast their safe arrival. These ships carried numerous spices and other exotic food stuffs which helped flavor many dishes for the people of Wilmington and North Carolina. I'm going to start slow, producing all orders myself in the same way that I have for holiday gifts. Over the next few weeks, I will be launching a website with a online purchase platform. Right now, I will be selling my barbecue sauce, "The Confused Southerner", as well as my new Secret Spice blend and Jalapeno Sauce (still unnamed...first person to send me a cool name gets the naming rights).
