Registration for the School Kids Program (SKiP) is now open on the Randolph Area Food Shelf website! Registration deadline is Friday, June 5!
A little bit about SKiP:
SKiP is our School Kids’ Program, which offers complete lunches for children (ages 3-18 years) during times when they are not in school (February, April, and summer breaks). Since 2014, SKiP families have received milk, bread, fresh fruits and vegies, proteins, snacks, and other supplies to satisfy their children’s appetites. Participating adults visit the Food Shelf at a designated time, once a week, to pick up the ingredients for five lunches, plus extras.
Here is the link to the form:

SKiP originally stood for “Summer Kids Lunch Program” and was initiated by the Randolph Area Food Shelf in 2014. Its purpose was is provide free lunches five days a week during the summer when free or reduced price lunches were not available to students.

The Randolph Area Food Shelf has a couple of volunteer needs to fulfill! Training will be provided!

1. Someone available to help with food pick-ups from Shaws and Cumberland Farms on Wednesday, the shift starts at 10:30 AM.

2. Volunteers to help with food ordering from the VT Foodbank through their computer system.

3. Volunteers to help put deliveries from the VT Foodbank away at the food shelf- experience with pallet fork and ability to lift is necessary.

4. Help making phone calls to participants of our delivery program (can be done at home!)

If none of these opportunities interest you, but you'd still like to volunteer, we always welcome people to help volunteer in the storefront as a substitute (as needed) or to help with the School Kids Program (SKiP) over the summer!

To apply, please visit our website and fill out a volunteer application, which can be found here:

Cat Food Shortage at RAFS!

We've been out of cat food for over a week and there is currently no supply available through our Foodbank — so we're turning to our community for help.

If you can spare any dry or wet cat food, we'd be so grateful for a donation!

Drop off at the food shelf- 2 Prince St # 3, Randolph, VT 05060

No donation is too small. Please share — together we can take care of our neighbors and their furry family members!

We are so grateful for this incredible community! 🙏

A huge thank you to the Vermont Fish & Wildlife for their generous donation of 97 pounds of venison to our food shelf through the Venison for Vermonters program. This great program helps distribute wild game killed on the road or through illegal hunting practices to local food shelves!

We also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to all the local businesses and community members who showed up for our Empty Bowls Dinner! Whether you donated food, gave your time, or simply came out to share a meal and support a great cause. Every single contribution matters.

This community never ceases to amaze us. Thank you for helping us feed our neighbors. ❤️
