“On a beautiful spring afternoon in 2011, I came home from town and saw my husband Dwayne plowing up the hay pasture. When asked what he was up to, Dwayne replied, “I am going to plant something.”
Out of curiosity, I asked what he wanted to plant.
“Not sure, maybe corn,” was Dwayne’s reply. In 2012, we started to expand the garden. And in November of 2012 we started to put up a Greenhouse and
worked on it throughout the winter and into spring 2013. In 2013, we expanded the garden a little more. We tried a few new and requested vegetables, such as Kale, Chard and Kohlrabi, along with Cucumber, Zucchini, Squash, Onions, Beets, Corn, Beans, Pumpkins, Yellow Watermelons, Peppers, Potatoes, and Tomatoes. We will be adding Asparagus, Rhubarb, Okra, Snap Peas and Gold Beets to next year’s list of goodies!”
