Running their businesses is more than commerce for them, it’s their opportunity to work to improve the industry, better the communities they serve, and inspire the public to explore their cuisine options. Nichole, in particular, loves to escape into cooking and creating new recipes. She sees food as imagination and community as well as nourishment. Cooking and sharing meals has a traditional role in bringing us together with our loved ones and caring for others. We need more of that in this world!

💚💚Big thanks to WBLM, the Captain, and Celeste for shining a spotlight on ‘Slicing Through the Stigma’ and Mental Health Awareness Month! HUGE HUGS to Celeste for the opportunity to speak on “Perspectives” and chat about mental health in the farming and food industries. It was nerve-racking and a bit intimidating to speak on the radio. I stumbled over my words and had a few hiccups, but Celeste made it feel like having a cup of coffee and talking to a good friend. 🩷
Bringing attention to such an important topic, raising awareness, sparking conversations, and reminding everyone that mental health and well-being truly matter can make a big difference.
