☀️ A Little Farmstand Update

Hey everyone! Because of the extreme heat we’ve been having, we’ve decided to temporarily close The Farmstand.

Friday, July 31st will be our last day open for the summer season, so if you’ve been meaning to stop by, we’d love to see you one more time before we take a short break.

This isn’t goodbye—just a little pause until the temperatures start to cool down. The heat has been taking a toll on the produce we put out, and we want to make sure you’re always getting the freshest quality possible.

We have truly enjoyed every single visit, conversation, and purchase this season, and we can’t wait to see y’all again this fall! 🍂🎃

The garden is still producing and the chickens are still laying, so if there’s something specific you’re looking for over the next few weeks, please don’t hesitate to send me a message. We’ll still have produce and eggs available—just by request instead of being stocked in the stand.

Unfortunately, last week The Farmstand experienced its first theft.

Someone stole the ice chest that I use to keep my fresh eggs in. Along with the cooler, several cartons of fresh eggs were taken and unfortunately were never recovered. As a small, self-serve farmstand built on honesty and trust, it was incredibly discouraging to see something like this happen.

I want to sincerely thank the Richland Parish Sheriffs Office for their quick response and hard work. They were able to identify the individual responsible, recover my ice chest, and return it to me the very next day. I am so grateful for the time and effort they put into helping me.

While I hate that this happened, I’m choosing not to let one person’s actions take away from all of the good that this farmstand has brought. The Farmstand has been supported by so many honest, kind people since the day we opened, and that’s what I’ll continue to focus on.

Thank you for supporting this little dream of mine and for helping make The Farmstand such a special place. Here’s to moving forward, restocking the egg cooler, and continuing to serve this wonderful community.
