Photo dump from the last few weeks, summer chanties and lobsters have been keeping us busy. After all this time chasing fungi, chanterelles are still my favorite to eat :) Always tasty as duxelles and friend to my tummy! Enjoyed some time in the coastal rainforest with Ginger - fun to see you as always!

A great day in the burn! Took us a day and a half to figure out target elevation, but our work paid off today. 50 lbs - a good haul for me and Trent, we don’t go too much harder than this. Pretty tuckered out and sooooo dirty :) I was pretty happy to check my location and see myself in the yellow on our maps. We’ve been putting offline maps through the paces, testing, testing, and more testing. Still a few bugs but so damn close. Hope ya’ll are filling baskets out there!

First OR burn hunt of the year for us! These big pickles often looked like grays but no fuzzy feet or double walls. Beefy though, growing w cedars and Doug firs. The conditions were somewhat perplexing at this particular burn, no flushes happening and very few other indicators (orange cups, calypsos), this lower elevation could be done. The weather has been hot/cold likely throwing some wrenches. Precipitation has been good lately rolling nicely through the cascades. Hoping for good things to come at higher elevations!
