My parents always told us growing up that Labor Day was for laboring. So that's what we do!

The sun is dangerous this time of year and it can make the pumpkin wagons disappear. We have a little under a half mile to get them to the farm right by St. Michael Parish/School, so please keep an eye out the next 3 weeks and avoid the temptation to pass!

Did you see Will's (the beekeeper) new swag? The farm market is buzzing over here with new things each day. From straw bales to corn stalks, apples to mums...fall is peeking through. Open everyday from 9 am to 6 pm!

Congratulations Nate and Lousia! What a beautiful day! Thank you for entrusting us to bring to life your vision for promising forever.

Tomorrow will be a very softity, soooft market opening as we work to convert the bridal party's dressing room back into the farm market. And so begins being open every day to see your smiling faces! Apples, pumpkins, mums,... here we come!

Lord you created our hearts for unbroken fellowship. Yet the constraints of time and place, and the stuttering rhythms of life in a fallen world dictate that all fellowships in these days will at times be broken or incomplete. We acknowledge, O Lord, that it is a right and a good thing to miss deeply those whom we love but with whom we cannot be physically present.
We praise you knowing that these glad aches are a true measurement of the bonds you have wrought between our hearts.

Our hearts are so very heavy with the loss of Dom in our farm family. You may not have seen him in the market in years past as he was always hard at work in the fields, tending the gardens. The produce you took home was a product of his dedication to providing for your families. I wish you could know him like we knew him. He will forever be in the hearts of our farm family and greatly missed.

Please have patience with us as we get back with unanswered phone calls. The produce is abundant, including melons this week, and will be available self-serve on the porch. The wind has been taken out of our sails, but we will continue to harvest and open the full farm market August 29 for the fall.

Sometimes we forget that not everyone knows what's happening on the farming side. Peaches got hit HARD with frost in the spring and there is a serious shortage. We have some early Red Havens in quarts in the cooler. $6/quart. No half bushel sizes yet, but we'll keep you updated if we can get them!
