The Cowboy’s house burnt down!
Thankfully our alarms went off at 7am Sunday morning and woke us smelling smoke and popping noises. From where I was laying in bed I could see down the hall to our living room. I seen an orange glow. I started yelling our house is on fire. I ran to the living room and the front porch was fully engulfed and burning through our front door. I grabbed a fire extinguisher and knocked it back but that was all I could do. I had been dealing with a bad head cold and cough, so the smoke had me cough terribly.
I quit fighting fire and went to get my family out of the house.
Thankfully We had a patio door out of our bedroom to the deck..
Dawn and the boys got out. And they remember our little Pixie dog was in the boys bed. So Maq ran back to get her. He brought her out to the deck and put her down. She usually goes potty and heads for the house because it’s cold. Well I suddenly remember I only have underwear on, and I remember the night before I had laid my clothes on a box inside of the patio door and my shoes were there as well. So opened the door to get them and Pixie must have ran back in because of the cold. The boys are frantically looking for Pixie. We searched around and suddenly I seen her inside of the patio door. I opened the door and out she ran and did not stop running till she got to the farthest corner of the yard. The heat and smoke had driven her back to the door. The amazing thing was she came to that door, because we didn’t use that door regularly.
We didn’t have keys for vehicles to move them away. Our Yukon and Rv started burning. My work truck was in front of the Rv.
My tractor was sitting by the Rv, so we moved it and found a strap to hook it to my work truck and drug it out of the way. It only melted the headlight and mirror..
Dawn and Maq called 911 as soon as we got out of or house.
We are so thankful to just be alive.

We are clothed, fed and have a warm place to stay.
God has blessed us with such wonderful friends.
Some friend had a house they were just putting on the market. They are allowing us to live there.
They and their church have fully furnished it for us. Till we can get our house rebuilt.
We been blessed with lots of nice clothes. My sister went Sunday bought us the basics. We are staying in my brothers fully furnished basement.
We feel so loved by everyone, our love tank is so full it’s running out our eyes in gratefulness.

P.S. I told God Monday morning,
If I can find my Mama’s Bible I know you still love me. We went to the house on Monday, to get out freezers of food which didn’t get burnt, PTL.
Anyhow as we are load my nephew said look that looks like some books. And I looked at them and it was a Bible. I picked up and took it to show my sister and then I remember what I told God. My sister just held me as I cried and Thanked God for His Love to our family, in spite of the circumstances. See picture!
