The Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market is open May through December with over 30 vendors providing a diverse and unique selection of farm fresh products that showcase the very best of the Hudson Valley. The Rhinebeck Farmers Market is proud to announce its 2026 scholarship recipients.
These scholarships are awarded to help promote and preserve agriculture and the
environment throughout the Hudson Valley. This year’s program will award a total of seven
scholarships including the John Honey Scholarship, the Longwave Financial Sustainability
Scholarship, two RFM Merit Scholarships and two RFM Community Advocacy awards and
one pre-college scholarship. Due to the generosity of our donors $6300 in funds will be
awarded. These awards can be used for any school related expense including books, fees,
tuition as well as other expenses required for enrollment or attendance at an eligible
educational institution.

Maya Hayes
Maya received a $300 RFM Scholarship Committee award to attend a pre college program this summer at Brown University. She moved to Rhinebeck from an urban environment and is interested in exploring how the relationship between agriculture, sustainability and education can build stronger communities. She is a member of the Rhinebeck Crew team and volunteers at the Starr Library.

New vendor alert! If you have been reading our posts carefully🕵🏻‍♀️, you may have heard that Mei’s Handmade Dumplings is on “grandmaternity leave”for all of August. That means Eggman of Nimble Roots Farm will be joining us this Sunday and August 23rd! This name may sound familiar as they’ve been in the news with the recent devastating flooding in Greene County. Please give them a warm welcome and show your support by eating some egg sandwiches this Sunday! 🍳

EGGMAN is a side project from the four farmers of Nimble Roots Farm (Christine & Fabio, Hunter & Connor) — a Certified Organic vegetable farm located in Catskill, NY. We utilize our group’s extensive culinary experience and skills to make delicious egg sandwiches to order. We use our own vegetables for sides and add-on toppings, sauces made from scratch, and source other ingredients as locally as we can. Along with our sister farm, The Lo Farm, we opened Six Hands Farm Store in Catskill this past May. We are regular vendors at the Catskill and Hudson Farmers Markets, and are very excited to be joining the Rhinebeck Farmers Market for a couple of days in August!

The Root Cellar is a Hudson Valley Fruit Winery & Cidery that specializes in Non-Grape Wines. Their goal is to preserve the efforts of our region’s Pome, Cane, and Stone Fruit Farmers by way of dry ferments that do not sacrifice but rather maintain the delicate character and nuances of the fruits that thrive here in the Hudson Valley - Strawberries, Blueberries, Black & Red Raspberries, Peaches, and of course Apples, amongst other things.

Curious about what it’s like to have native plant gardens? Come by the Climate Smart Rhinebeck table to see sample garden designs and learn how native plants support local biodiversity. We will be there to register interested folks in the free municipal compost program as well.
