The time is getting close to when we'll be handing the metaphoric reins over to Tri-Me's new owners.

We know change can be hard.. but rest assured the new owners have every intention of making Tri-Me better than ever! We cant wait to see our little store reach the potential it deserves.

Hello Tri-Me family.....
Im here to address the rumors that have been floating around for awhile. We weren't trying to hide anything, but I was hoping to have more concrete information before making an announcement. So here are the answers to the questions ive heard the most.

Are we selling the store? -Yes.

Who is buying it? -I don't believe that's my business to tell. If I were buying a business, I'd want the opportunity to introduce myself as the new business owner. When they choose to make the announcement is up to them.

Why are we selling? -My parents are going to retire. They will both be turning 70 in January. They've worked hard their entire lives and the only thing I want them to work hard on is enjoying the life they deserve.

Don't I want to take over? -NO. No offense to my Ridgely community lol ive been in this store for 23 years. When most people say they've worked 23 years, that usually doesn't mean 365 days a year for all those years. Owning your own business has a lot of benefits, but comes with a lot of hardships as well. I've put in my time and have no desire to work until 8pm every night and every weekend and holiday. My son is 12 and wants to do more, go more places and I want to be able to provide that for him.

What am I going to do without the store? -Hopefully have a life! A lot of people don't know that I work a full time job on top of the store. So when I'm always hiding in the office... its because I'm working, not hiding from you lol (full disclosure, there have been instances where ive hid from people lol ) ive worked for a company for over 7 years. Half the time was at their office, then covid happened and I had to leave and then they offered me a remote position, so that's what I do.

When will the change happen? -This is the information i was waiting for before making an announcement originally. There's no official date as of yet. When I know, you'll know. We planned to have a customer appreciation day.... but again we need to know when so I can plan these things.

Will the store stay the same? -Hopefully not. I hope the new owners will do what we've wanted to do but just didnt have enough oomph to do it. But as far as I know, it will stay how it is, just better!! This should be an exciting time for us, the new owners AND the community.

Thats all I can think of right now. Please feel free to comment your questions. Like I said, when I know more ill let the community know.
