Have you ever really tasted a peach? Those peaches will never reach their full sweetness. They are then sold on the farm where they're grown starting that day.

If you buy your peaches from grocery stores or even most roadside stands, chances are the peaches you have been eating were picked well before they were ripe, shipped long distances, warehoused, and then stored before sale. At Dowless Peach Orchards, our fruit ripens on the tree and are picked at the peak of flavor.

Today, Tuesday, July 28, we have beautiful yellow freestone Early August Prince peaches and what will probably be the last of our Elberta and China Pearl peaches. If you have been frustrated by our peach shortage during this year's drought, today's your day! Today, Sunday, July 26, we have plenty of beautiful yellow Early August Prince and Elberta and white China Pearl peaches, as well as fresh figs and Granny Smith apples, all picked this morning in our orchard. Today, Tuesday, June 23, we finally have fresh peaches at our stand on Highway 87! Today we will be selling our yellow semi-cling Intrepid and our white freestone Carolina Belles! We also have blueberries, and our peach, apple, pear, and muscadine syrups, peach vinaigrette, chipotle peach barbecue sauce, peach, muscadine and scuppernong ciders, peach and pear salsa, and peach, reduced sugar peach, jalapeno peach, ginger peach, almond peach pecan, spiced pear, and caramel apple jams!
