Today we are at the Idaho Falls farmers market with just a few things we were able to harvest this morning.

News from the farm.

Tomorrow Saturday May 2 the Idaho Falls Farmers market opens for the season and Jamie from our sister farm Food Dudes will be there! She has a bit of asparagus, red and russet potatoes, spelt and Khorosan, bread, honey and a few other items. She will also be able to answer questions you may have on the CSA for this year, yes you may still sign up.

May 8, Rexburg farmers market will start.

Planting is progressing, we are concerned about the available water in the canals this season, praying for moisture to come when and where it is needed.

We do have peas, carrots, beets, onions and garlic up and handling the recent frosts well. Much to plant over the next 4 weeks.

2026 CSA and credits

Signups for our 2026 CSA continue. Many options:
Early fruit (July time)
Late fruit (Aug-Sept)
Farm box 1/2 and full share (mix of fruit and veggies)
Veggie box 1/2 and full share
And new for 2026 - CREDITS. This is savings account for summer produce and other items. Start saving for as little as $100 or go big up to $500! As the season opens in July, you will be able to use your credits to “purchase” fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, grains, honey, flour, etc.

So, go to fooddudesidaho.com and hit the CSA button and sign up today. (For the credit option, click in the upper right corner and choose an amount).

Also new for this year, for the CSA subscriptions, we will be giving bonus items on certain weeks through the season and for the credit option there will be a code to activate a small discount each week so your credits will go farther.

Fruit box - fruit we produce and source locally
Farm box - mix of fruit and veggies
Credit option - with this option, you get to decide what you get each week choosing from our store at Barn2Door. Along with the fruits and veggies, grains, flour and other items will be available.

Potato sale extended

Sold 40 boxes of potatoes yesterday with the sale, still have 60 available (55 red, 3 yellow) Sale of $10 per box will continue this week each evening from 4-6pm and Saturday from 10-4. Hopefully we sell this full batch. Will visit Nathan’s farm tomorrow and restock Huckleberry Golds and russets ($20 per box on them).

When these run out, I did take 48 boxes to a cellar last week. We will retrieve them once this batch is gone.

Potato sale January 24!

We still have a lot of potatoes, reds and yellows, so this Saturday we are having a sale. January 24 from 10am-4pm a 50 pound box of yellows or reds is only $10. So get together with friends and neighbors and come get a box or more. Will sell less than a box at just $.40 per pound.

We do have a few boxes of Huckleberry Golds and Russets as well but they are $20 per box.

Looking at some changes on the CSA for 2026. They are coming from feedback we have received and will give a bit more flexibility. Stay tuned.

Russets and Huckleberry Golds and more potatoes.

Went to Sugar City today and brought home a few boxes of russets and Huckleberry Golds. So we have all 4 varieties in Ririe! $20 for a full box
$12 for 25 pounds
$6 for 10 pounds
Want us to mix a box for you (Red and yellow, red and russet)? We can do it.

For those of you closer to Sugar City, Jamie has russets, reds, 1 box of yellows and 5 Huckleberry gold left for the season. She also has her ancient grains (Spelt and Khorasan), flour and some local eggs today (6 dozen left). Get with her (208-390-0595) and help her clean out the cooler.

Red potatoes and what else?

Thanks to a great response, pumpkins are gone! extra space in the garage.

Now if we can get the potatoes to disappear. What’s left as of Dec 20
Red potatoes- 145 boxes
Yellow (gold) potatoes- 20 boxes
Huckleberry golds - sold out. Jamie at Food Dudes has 8 boxes as of today, need some or some Russets, contact her at 208-390-0595.

We will be around through Christmas Eve to help you secure some good taters for your Christmas feast.

FREE, YES FREE!

Update 12/17. Pumpkins are gone, 170 boxes of potatoes remain.
All of the pie pumpkins in the garage are free. Need some for pumpkin purée, dinner in a pumpkin, or to feed to your livestock? Come and get them while they last. Best time to visit is 3-5:30pm through Friday and all day Saturday. We hope they are gone by Saturday evening.

When you visit, we hope to be able to send home some potatoes with you (even if you only need 5 pounds). Need to sell about 30 more boxes and then Sharlyn can park in the garage.

Need to come a different time than late afternoon? DM us and let’s work out an alternate time.
