When you think of St. George Utah, you think sun, relaxation, vibrant color, golf, rv, atv, boats and POTATOES!?!!
In 1861, 309 families were sent to St. George to settle the area. The early pioneers were faced with a serious bout of scurvy. The settlers were advised by George Albert Smith to eat potatoes.
Potatoes carry a high vitamin C content. Because of the pioneets great recovery, they named the town in George Albert Smith honor. St. George Utah is one of the fastest growing places to live in the US, and it has ties to our beloved potato!
