HOLIDAY WEEKEND! 🇺🇸🌽🍅

What are you all doing?? I hope it is something FUN! And of course whatever you’re doing, it will be better if you stop over and grab some amazing produce first.

We are FULLY RESTOCKED ON HONEY! 🍯

I am honestly blown away by how much honey you all buy. I guess I grew up in a honey-less house haha. We were sugar people growing up.

Which now has me thinking about my grandma always saying, “He’s got a touch of the sugar.”

Sooo…pre-diabetic, Gram? Is that what we were saying? 😂

As I continue to question many things from my childhood, I can now add our sweetener choices to the list.

Anyway…HONEY! 🍯

We have the big jars back in stock — 5 lb, 3 lb and 2 lb — plus the 1 lb plastic and glass jars and all the different pollination varieties.

The Sage Dad is baking sourdough as I type. That man gets up about as early as I do on weekends to make sure you all have fresh bread. 🥖

And Pretty Bird Farm is in the house with gorgeous fresh-cut flower bouquets! 💐

The stand is LOADED today:

🌈 A rainbow of peppers
🥔 Amazing white potatoes
🥒 Cucumbers
💚 Zucchini
💛 Yellow squash
🍆 Eggplant
🍎 NY State apples — Golden Delicious, Honeycrisp, Zestar & Gala
🌽 Our FAMOUS sweet corn
🍅 And yes, more Jersey Girl tomatoes because apparently none of us can live without them right now
🧀 Hun Val fresh mozzarella
🥚 Farm fresh eggs
🍉 Seedless AND seeded watermelon

Seriously, what else could you ask for?!

Stop over, stock up for the holiday weekend, grab some bread, flowers, honey, corn and maters and go make something GOOD!

See you at The Stand on 202! ❤️

Good morning!!

I’ve been getting calls, texts and stop-overs asking, “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!” 😂

Well… September came in like a whale’s tail and slapped me straight across the face.

Apparently every board and organization I sit on woke up August 31st and said, “Hey, let’s all email Darcy at once.” Emails, calls, deadlines, Zooms, in-person meetings… back to reality hit HARD and I hated every second of it. 😂 But I think I am finally caught up and crawling back into society.

And this late Labor Day? Killing me. I have absolutely no idea what day, week or month we are in anymore.

YES — since you all keep asking — we WILL have pumpkins! 🎃 We will start getting into them soon, assuming all this damn rain hasn’t caused them to go to crap.

SO MUCH RAIN!!!!!

And never during the day when it could help a sister out and close the stand, NOPE. Always at night so we can work all day AND wake up to mud. Thanks, Mother Nature.

BUT… APPLES ARE HERE! 🍎

Honeycrisp, Zestar, Gala and Ginger Gold!

Full disclosure — they are New York apples. We’ll give New York credit because man, they are GOOD… even if they still try to claim the Giants.

You practice in Jersey, you play in Jersey…… You’re a JERSEY TEAM! End of discussion. 😂

Jersey apples are a little sparse right now and some of our orchards took a beating this year, so we made calls, pulled favors and drove our butts off to get you good ones.

No food trucks today — apparently everyone decided they needed a vacation and quite frankly, I respect it. 😂

BUT you can find our produce this weekend at Tavern 519 and Matt’s Red Rooster, doing amazing things with our famous corn and maters. 🌽🍅

We are here, we have apples, I survived the first few days of September and I am BACK.

See you at The Stand on 202! ❤️🌽🍅🍎

🤔 THINK ABOUT IT TACO TUESDAY… WHY ARE FARMERS NEVER HAPPY WITH THE RAIN?

No rain: We need rain.

Rain coming: Good, we need it.

Starts raining: Well s**t, that’s a little too much.

Stops raining: That wasn’t enough.

Rains for three days: MAKE IT STOP.

Two weeks later: We could really use some rain.

😂😂😂

I know what you’re thinking… MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MINDS!

But here’s the thing — not all rain is good rain.

A nice steady rain that soaks into the ground? Beautiful, we love her, please Invite her back next week possibly between 12 am and 4 am.

Three inches in an hour?

She’s an as***le. 😂

Now fields are flooded, tomatoes split, disease loves all that moisture, nutrients can wash away and we can’t get equipment into the fields.

And timing is EVERYTHING.

Rain after planting? Hallelujah.

Rain when we need to make hay, pick, spray or get equipment in the field? Of course. Because Mother Nature has jokes.

So the next time it’s pouring and you tell a farmer, “Well, at least you guys need the rain!”

And they just stare at you…

Slowly back away. 😂 We have reasons.

And THAT is your Think About It Tuesday.

With that said, we ARE open today unless Mother Nature decides to lose her mind on us again!

Stop by, grab your veggies and say hi. See you at the stand! 🌽🍅🍉

Is anyone else totally confused about what day of the week it is AND what month we are even in?! 😂

This whole Labor Day being a week later has got me living in the 3rd dimension of life over here.

Like, I am happy for ya’all that you got an extra week of summer, but we went from no school, no meetings, no schedules to BAM… back to real life, and Labor Day hasn’t even happened yet!

And can we talk about how DARK it is in the morning now?! People, I am not ready.

Did I tell you we got so busy that the weeds in the zucchini field are so high I actually got LOST in there?! 😂 It’s dark, there are bugs, things are touching me, and quite frankly, it’s gross.

BUT… have you seen how dark and beautiful that zucchini is?! Apparently the weeds are blocking enough sun to keep it from lightening up.

So basically, our laziness is your super-green goodness.

You’re welcome. 😂

Today we have a clean slate because ONCE AGAIN, you all wiped us clean! Some veggies are slowly starting to say goodbye for the season, which makes us sad, but like I said yesterday… fall veggies are coming soon! So bear with us while Mother Nature switches wardrobes.

In the meantime, stop over and grab your corn and maters because the MATERS ARE STILL ON POINT. 🍅🌽

And PLEASE, if you can remember, bring your reusable bags!

We are burning through our illegal plastic bags like there is no tomorrow. 😂 We can still use them for corn bundles, but bringing your own bags for everything else really does help us out, saves the earth a little bit, AND helps us stay farming.

Each one of those bags costs us about 5 cents.

We make about 4 cents on a cucumber.

You can do the math from there because my head is already mashed for the day and it is STILL EARLY.

Happy Monday… I think.

Pretty sure it’s Monday.

And apparently still August.

See ya at the stand! 🌽🍅🥒

Good Sunday morning!!

Today’s weather looks AMAZING! Perfect day to fire up the BBQ, grab all your fixings and enjoy the day!

We’ll be hanging out on the highway all day and will probably crash later after a long week of you all kicking our butts. 😂 So have a burger or two for us!

Lots going on at the Hunterdon County Community Farmers Market today on Rt. 12! Along with our tent and all our amazing vendor friends selling meats, sauces, pies, breads, coffee and more, today is the NOFA Tomato Tasting! 🍅

So head over and check that out. It’s always a good time at the farmers market!

Back at the stand, we have Sage Dad Sourdough, Hun Val fresh mozzarella and eggs, our full line of produce and TONS of our fresh picked watermelon, which is sooooo sweet right now. 🍉

And yes… cantaloupe is done.

Well, maybe. 😂

We do have one field that we might be able to scatter-pick during the week. The rain hit us HARD, so we’re giving them a few days before we get in there and see what’s ready and how they held up.

Rain is good, too much rain in an hour is not good.

So hang tight! Maybe we’ll get a pop-up day or two of fresh-picked loupes. If not, the cows get to roam that field and get high on fruity sugars, so somebody wins either way. 😂🐄

We’ll keep you posted on all the fall goodies coming our way too. We plan on cabbage and broccoli later in the fall because trying to keep that stuff cool in this heat is a full-time job.

And if you don’t keep it cool?

The whole stand smells like bulldog farts.

I don’t know how else to describe it. That is EXACTLY what it smells like. 😂

And before somebody argues with me in the comments, I have Tater Tot, the wonder bully. I have done the research, I know what I’m talking about.

Scientific demonstration available upon request. 🐶💨

Happy Sunday, people! Enjoy this gorgeous weather, eat something good and come see us on 202 or at the Hunterdon County Community Farmers Market on Rt. 12!

Good Saturday morning!!

Well, here we are at the end of August, that weird stage of summer where the peaches are done, apples aren’t quite ready yet, and Mother Nature is doing her thing. 🍑🍎

Yes, peach season is OVER. Don’t yell at me, I don’t control the seasons. 😂 We’re waiting for those good, sweet, juicy Jersey apples to kick into gear. We need a few nice cold nights to get them going, and I’d rather wait for the GOOD ones than rush it just to say we have apples!

So while we wait, I think it is officially End of Summer All-You-Can-Eat Season, we have starved ourselves long enough!

We have the end of August AND all of September to build those winter bodies. Hoodies and sweaters are coming, people! Live and let live. 😂

And today, we have plenty to help you get started!

Pito’s Pinchos is BACK!! If you’ve been wanting to try his amazing pinchos and Cuban sandwiches, today is your day. Good God, those Cuban sandwiches are INSANE. And don’t forget the piña coladas, mangoladas, tostones and all the other good stuff! (Personally, the funnel cake fries are prepping me for my hoodie body!)

HoneyCakes Bakery is here too with their amazing sweet AND savory treats, plus THOSE PIEROGIES!! Seriously, get the pierogies. You can thank me later.

Of course, we have the full stand lineup too — Hun Val fresh mozzarella and eggs, Birds & Bees honey, sweet corn, tomatoes, all our Jersey Fresh veggies, Rolling Hills Soring Mix is back and Sage Dad Sour Dough bread to go with all those fresh Jersey girl maters!

So come hungry!!! Grab a Cuban sandwich, grab some pierogies, grab something sweet, then grab a bag of vegetables so you can call the whole damn thing a balanced diet. 😂

Summer is winding down, the hoodies are coming out, and nobody needs to be making good decisions on a Saturday.

We’ll start behaving in February when bathing suits start hitting the stores.

Come see us at The Stand on 202! 🌽🍅🥪

08/28/2026

We have two boxes of 2nd tomatoes for sauce at the stand. If u want them, we leave at 6.

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING!! 🌽☀️

Another weekend is rolling in, and Pito’s Pinchos is in the house… or I should say, in the LOT! 😂

Come out and grab some pinchos or one of his Cuban sandwiches. The flavor is INSANE! Hands down one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had. Stop over for lunch, a snack or dinner… hell, come twice. 😂

He’s also got virgin coladas, funnel cake fries, corn nuggets and more!

As for us, we’ve got the FULL LINEUP today and everything is looking GOOD! 🌽🍅🍉🥒🌶️

🍑 LAST CALL FOR PEACHES!! And I mean it this time. When they’re gone, THEY DONE! No secret peach stash, no “can you check in the back?” 😂 Peach season is waving goodbye, so get them while you can!

We’ve also got Sage Dad Sourdough, Pretty Bird Farms flowers, Birds & Bees Honey and so much more!!

It’s Friday, the stand is loaded, Pito’s is cooking and we’re ready for ya!

Come on over and see us at The Stand on 202! ❤️🌽

Sorry everyone, we tried!! 🌧️

I ran deliveries this morning and Route 95 was flooded, so I had to turn around. Looks like today is going to be stop-and-go rain ALL day, so we are OUT!

We try our best to be there, but between the flooded roads, soaked ground and ground lightning, it’s just not worth the risk for us or our crew.

So Mother Nature wins this round. 😂 We’ll dry ourselves out and be back at it tomorrow!

Stay safe, stay dry and please don’t try driving through flooded roads! ❤️

Can you believe another Thursday is rolling in?! Lots of schools are starting today, at least in the northern part of the county, so good luck to all the students heading back!

And with back to school comes sports, dance, drama club, scouts and the 900 other activities that have us eating on the run and wondering when the hell we are supposed to make dinner.

I ALWAYS struggled with meals when my kids were smaller. I was the Scout/4H leader, wrestling team mom, cheer coach, PTO board, etc etc, on top of owning Art Attack in town…remember that place?! My schedule was nuts, but honestly my kids being a-holes about food didn’t help. 😂

One won’t eat cheese. One won’t eat ANYTHING from a crockpot. One would say, “I don’t care what we eat,” then I’d make something and hear, “Ewww, I don’t want that.” We had no veggie eaters, carb lovers and plenty of 9pm dinner/homework meltdowns.

And apparently they don’t grow out of it.

That no-cheese “kid”? Let me rephrase…he is a GROWN ASS MARINE VETERAN, saving for a house, still living in our attic and STILL demanding no-cheese meals. 😂 And yes, I make two lasagnas because he will eat mozzarella, but ricotta is where this Marine draws the line. OY!! 🤦‍♀️

So help a girl out, because I KNOW a lot of you are in the same boat! What are your quick, easy, go-to fall meals? Bonus points for stuff we can make ahead, freeze, thaw and throw in the oven. Drop your ideas below so we can all steal from each other! 😂

And while you’re figuring out dinner, stop by the stand for all your favorite veggies! We have the full lineup and DON’T sleep on the watermelon this week…it is ON FIRE!! 🍉🔥 Sooooo sweet right now and won’t be around forever.

At least we can provide the ingredients…what the hell you make with them is up to you, but share with us!
