In a remarkable achievement, Mom (Marilyn Meyer) successfully grew a gigantic pumpkin!
Fortunately, Jeff Schwiesow had a tractor, enabling us to transport it for weighing. Thankful that Rita Williams, Jeff Schwiesow and I were available to tackle this monumental task together, with Mom’s expert supervision guiding us.
Mom’s ambition was to grow an 89-pound pumpkin, surpassing last year’s 74-pound yield, which fell short of her 88-pound objective. Her ultimate aspiration was to grow a pumpkin as majestic as her age.
Her 2025 pumpkin impressively tipped the scales at 480 pounds, as evidenced by the weigh ticket from StateLine Coop elevator.
The gigantic pumpkin was then relocated to Jeff and Dorothy’s property, where everyone visiting East Side Market Ringsted can marvel at it’s enormity!
