Hello everyone! 💖 we hope you are having a great start to the new year! I have been sort of quiet recently for reasons surrounding my health, and recently I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease is when the body can’t break down the proteins found in gluten - which is commonly found in breads and pastas, amongst other things - and thus my immune system begins to attacks the gluten protein causing damage to the lining of the stomach & intestines
While I love the community I’ve built around sourdough, with my new diagnosis cross contamination is a serious health concern. For the time being Dough & Grow will be on a hiatus while I experiment with gluten free recipes, converting my whole menu to gluten free desserts, breads, cookies, cakes and more!
