Day 4: We said goodbye to all 6500 pounds of Elberta German Sausage Festival sausage. The Town of Elberta Volunteer Fire Department is gonna take it from here…

It really is such an honor for our family business to be the ones who are trusted with making this sausage every year. Thank you to all who have trusted us for 50 years… it brings tears to my eyes to just think about the lasting legacy.

Day 1: It all starts here!!!

This is where the sausage magic begins… Today is stage one. This is the first of two grinds before each sausage gets stuffed in to its casing and then hand-linked for the Elberta German Sausage Festival.

Every batch is done the old-fashioned way, right here in-house. Stay tuned all week as we take you from grind to grill 🔥

In case you weren’t in the know, we are making 6500 pounds of fresh Elberta German sausage for the festival THIS SATURDAY, 3/28/26!

**Deer hunters**
Remember that this is the last week that we will be accepting deer meat until Saturday, 12/27/25. NO DEER DROP OFFS 12/15 - 12/26. We will begin accepting meat on 12/27 and since there is such a long stretch of us not accepting meat, we will take meat up to 8 days old on 12/27, 12/29 and 12/30.

**EXCITING NEWS** Our busy season is upon us and Farm Fresh Meats will start opening on Mondays beginning THIS MONDAY, 11/17/25!! Our new hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM and Saturday 8AM - 3PM, CLOSED Sunday.

If you are a deer customer, please pay attention to the following information...

Farm Fresh Meats WILL NOT accept deer meat for processing the following dates:

No deer drop offs Monday, November 17 through Saturday, November 22.

No deer drop offs Monday, December 15 through Friday, December 26. **Note** We will accept deer meat up to 8 days old on Saturday, December 27; Monday, December 29 and Tuesday December 30.

Any other time during deer season, your meat must be less than 5 days since it's been killed. We DO NOT accept frozen deer meat during deer season. If you have frozen meat you would like for us to process, you can bring it to us the first full week in April or the first full week in May.

It is always a good idea to call us before dropping off your meat to make sure that we are accepting it, as we get VERY FULL VERY FAST! If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 251-947-7385.
