We weren’t able to attend Dutch Nationals in person this year but we sent two rabbits. I wasn’t sure how we would match up nationally, but our pair didn’t disappoint.

Eat’N Acres “Ace of Hearts” [pictured] was 3rd out of 18. She showed against what I have been told was very strong competition. This doe has been killing it on the show table at regional shows so I’m proud to know she held her own on the national level.

Eat’N Acres “Return of the McRib” got some redemption and was 15th out of 43. This was a major improvement over his showing at convention as a junior where he was first off the table 😆.

Thank you again to Erik Bengston for taking our rabbits to the show and caring for them for the week. I’m excited to continue to improve my dutch and look forward to some upcoming litters.

Anything that we will have available to 4-Hers prior to the Minnesota 4-H Deadline will be with us at the Rochester Area Rabbit Club Show in Owatonna, MN. I will not be getting pictures or posting other rabbits until after that show with anything we may have left. With that being said we will have mostly Mini Lops available and possibly a couple of Gray Dutch and a few Polish.

I am planning sell most of my Mini Lops and only keeping a very select few, so I will have some breeding age does available as well.

Evan is making his way to Polish Nationals for the show tomorrow. We have 2 rabbits available. See Evan in person tomorrow for viewing.

SOLD - REW Jr. Buck- Eat’N Acres Colby
He is directly off my show team and if I didn’t have so much going on right now I’d be happy to keep him. He has one junior show leg so far. If I wanted to work with REWs more he would become a main herd buck for me. I think he has so much potential, but space is really tight for us and I have other color priorities at the moment. He is entered in the National show as well as Sunday Specialties

SOLD- Jr. Doe- Eat’N Acres Bluebell
I do have a video posted of this doe. She is just a baby but has a body for days. She needs a better head for her to be super competitive, but she is one that if space wasn’t so tight I would love to keep her as a brood doe for myself. Both of her parents are GC as well if memory serves.

The 2026 Netherland Dwarf National show came and went. What a whirlwind of a day. I brought a show team of 6 rabbits and thankfully most of them held onto their coats for the show. Some notable placing:

3rd Chestnut Sr Doe in a large class!
2nd Chocolate Agouti Sr Buck
2nd Chocolate Agouti Jr Doe
2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tan Sr Does
3rd place colored fur with a Tan Sr Doe! (This was a very nice surprise)

Also a special congrats to Outhouse Farms for a BOSV Tan (Youth) with Eat’N Acres’ “Burnt Marshmallow”! So happy to see our stock thriving in other barns.

The show was wonderfully run: efficient, fun, and ended in time to rest and shower before banquet! Thank you to the host club staff and ANDRC officers who made this show run smoothly!

I also wanted to say thank you to Peyton Head for supporting the club and purchasing my cross stitch from the club auction. She told me she purchased it for her grandma Gail Krall who I know will appreciate it. It also brings me a little extra joy knowing this piece will stay here in Texas!

Congrats to all the amazing breeders on their wins and placing today. There were a lot of varieties with deep, competitive classes; the netherland dwarf breeders can be proud to maintain a standard of high quality rabbits on the show table.

We still have the speciality shows tomorrow morning before heading home so we’re not quite done showing yet. Wishing safe travels for everyone making their way home tomorrow.

Also thanks to Tim Krueger for tag-teaming this national show with me. With Toby at home, it was very nice to team up and tackle this show together!

Eat’N Acres Blue Bell
Blue Jr. Doe
DOB: 1/19/25
Sire: Jill’s/Cotter’s GC Odyssey (lilac)
Dam: Eat’N Acres GC Caliope (blue)

Blue Bell is a deep compact little doe. I am keeping her littermate brother back. Her biggest fault imo is her head/ears. Her ears are a bit long to balance and narrow in her muzzle. I think she will make someone a fantastic brood doe in the future.
