Great day at the Lilac Table Tasting Collective.

Our team enjoyed spending the afternoon serving samples meeting festivalgoers and being part of one of Rochester’s favorite spring traditions. From shrimp cocktail shooters to tenderloin crostini it was a great chance to share a taste of what Palmer’s is all about!

A look back to move forward.
As we approached the redesign, we didn’t have to look far for direction.

Through our 175 years of service Palmer’s has adapted to how people shop and eat, but the focus has stayed the same. Letting quality product speak for itself. Our new signage reflects tradition.

At the counter expanded cases make it easier to shop the items our team prepares every day. Clams casino. Hand rolled pinwheels. Stuffed roasts and seafood. Prepared here and ready when you are.

We’re back—and there’s a lot to see.

In-store shopping has returned at Palmer’s, and as you walk in, you’ll notice the updates right away. A new entrance brings in more natural light and opens up the space from the start.

To the left, the cart bay now features a quote from Bud Palmer—“Goodwill is our greatest asset”—a reminder of the mindset that continues to shape how we serve our community today.

The flow of the store now leads you straight into the meat and seafood counters, passing the meat room viewing window along the way. Our approach hasn’t changed. Fresh cut steaks. Certified Angus Beef. Custom cuts handled by our team.

On the kitchen side, the menu has been refreshed. The favorites you know are still here, with some familiar items reworked and new dishes added to the mix. Fish fry Friday stays strong with our in-house breaded haddock and Yuengling beer-battered haddock. There’s also a new kids menu with straightforward options for the whole family.

And the return of in-store seating—a bright dining room and counter seating near the kitchen.

We’re still finishing a few details, but the doors are open and we’re glad to have you back in.

After 175 years in business and 17 years of the last iteration of our retail space on Jefferson Road, this update is about keeping what works and continuing to serve our customers the way we always have.
