My apologies for the radio silence over the last few weeks. As many of you are aware, Small World lost a great friend, worker, and our ferment producer. It's been a difficult time processing and trying to figure out how to fill such enormous shoes. James was a special person, and though, you hear that often, this time is no exaggeration.
James loved the biology of fermentation but more importantly, loved to nourish people with his creativity through food and music. James would also not have wanted Small World to stop without him.
So here we are reaching out to the larger community that has supported Small World for the last 15 years.
In the short term, we are looking for folks who can help with the packing out of our current stock. For the long term (not so far away), we are looking for someone who is interested in fermenting the 3500 lbs of cabbage we are soon to receive. This is the time of year James looked forward to most. His kitchen, his industrial food processor, his cabbage, his music at full volume... what more could a boy need?
Anyone looking to help out, please contact us via email, phone, or social media. We appreciate all the support we can get. Thanks.
