At the time, Clayton was a local fisherman in the Space Coast who found himself catching more blue crabs than he could sell, leading him to open a wholesale seafood business. In 1970, the retail market opened, and since then, it has grown to become the largest seafood market in Brevard County, Florida. In 2013, Clayton's Crab Company changed ownership when Clayton Korecky sold the business to Jan

and Brian Walker. Jan worked under Clayton over the course of thirty years, while Brian joined the company in 2009. Jan and Brian have continued the tradition of fresh seafood that Clayton originally started.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of our business.

For more than 59 years, Clayton's Crab Company has proudly served Brevard County and beyond. We are deeply grateful to our loyal customers, family, and friends who have supported us throughout the years.

Our mission has always been to provide high-quality seafood to our community. Unfortunately, due to current economic conditions and the continued rise in the cost of goods, we are no longer able to do so in a way that meets our standards or serves our customers as we would like.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and your tables for so many years. We will always cherish the memories, friendships, and relationships we’ve built along the way.

Sunday, May 24th, will be our final day in business.

Please stop in to stock up on your seafood favorites and say goodbye. All grocery and frozen seafood items will be 20% off on Saturday and Sunday.

We are incredibly grateful for your support, loyalty, and friendship over the years. Thank you for being part of our journey.
