My well pump failed just as I was starting to make dough this evening, so I am not able to make bread for Friday, February 27. 😢 If it were like this well, I could just crank!

[Edit Friday - Cribley Well Drilling came at 9:15 this morning and replaced the 38 year old (original) pump and we’re back in business, so to speak. Still no bread today, of course, but I’m grateful for this quick response from an old, locally owned business!]

Hi Friends - I’m back from seven weeks in the warm south and will resume baking tomorrow, Friday, February 13, with afternoon deliveries to the deli at Arbor Farms.

I will be taking off next Friday, October 17, so get your bread this afternoon at Arbor Farms. At this point, I think I will be baking every Friday through the Friday before Christmas, and then will resume in February.

I’m back from back-to-back vacations and will resume my Friday deliveries to Arbor Farms at ~2pm and ~4pm tomorrow, 9/19. The first picture below is of two loaves I made at a cottage on Cape Ann, Mass., in a kitchen with limited equipment and ingredients. They turned out well, I thought. The other photo is of the beautiful flooded granite quarry where the cottage is. Like a private, five acre, spring fed swimming pool, a quarter mile from the ocean. We’ve been going for many of the last 48 years with the same friends.

Hi Friends - I WILL be delivering bread today, July 4, to the deli in Arbor Farms. Since they close at 5 pm, I’ll be going in earlier than usual, hopefully at around 1 pm and 3 pm.

Hi Friends - as I suggested last week that I might, I’ve decided to bake only on Fridays in the future. This will let me bake further into the future. I’ll be 79 in September and baking two days in a row, especially standing on my arthritic knees, just takes its toll. Deliveries as usual at around 2pm and 4pm to the deli at Arbor Farms Market. Thanks for your loyal patronage for nearly 46 years! ❤️

Hi Friends - I’ll be baking only Friday, June 13, this week, not Thursday. I’m pretty close to making this my regular schedule. Watch this space. I find that working two days a week takes a lot out of me, especially my knees. (I do sit for part of the process but I have to stand for most of it.) I’ll be 79 in September and I feel it sometimes, not like these cute kids!
