🍓 Proper Care for Your Crochet is my Jam

Thank you for supporting our handcrafted, micro-batch jams! A little care goes a long way in preserving their fresh, homemade flavor.

Before Opening

* Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
* Do not freeze unopened jars.
* Before opening, make sure the safety seal is intact.
* For the best quality, because our jams are made with high fruit & low sugar content with natural preservatives, we recommend using them within 12 months of purchase.

After Opening

* Refrigerate immediately after opening.
* Always use a clean, dry utensil to serve.
* Keep the lid tightly closed between uses.
* For the best flavor and quality, enjoy within 3–4 weeks after opening.

How to Check the Safety Seal

Before opening your jam for the first time, gently press the center of the lid.

A properly sealed lid will remain firm and will not flex or make a popping sound.

If the lid pops up and down (clicks) when pressed, the vacuum seal has been broken. Please do not consume the product.

After much thought, we’ve made the decision to retire the Roots & Makers name and begin an exciting new chapter.

Please join us in welcoming Harvest & Handmade—a refreshed brand with the same commitment to supporting Southern Oregon’s talented makers, growers, artisans, and small businesses.

While the name has changed, our mission remains the same: creating welcoming spaces where community, creativity, and locally crafted goods come together.
