After a loooong June of crap-tastic weather, I've finally got some chickens ready for ya! We've raised the price a teeny bit (just 50 cents, no biggie) because feed costs are through the roof, so the chickens will be $4.75/pound. Order now and I'll have more birds ready in a flash, plus,at your request, I'll throw in some cold smoking action with my homemade smoker - it's phenomenal!

Looks like we are FINALLY getting some nice weather up here! Our second batch of chickens just went outside and the third one is going out soon! Also this morning we just got batch number 4! Everyone is alive and well and hopefully they all make it through their first night.

We will have some birds ready to sell 2 weeks from now so if you want some chickens put your orders in now! We do smoked and non-smoked chickens and you can have both, just let me know how many of each when you order!

We have finally decided on the duck names!

The first one with the black spots is named Goose and his partner (the other yellow one) is Sallie! Sorry to disappoint all the Top Gun fans but mom liked the name Sallie so we have Goose and Sallie!

Maggie really wanted to name on of the black ones Coin, and if you’re like me, that makes you think of President Coin from the last Hunger Games, so we now have Coin and Snow our two Hunger Ganes Presidents!

Our second of 5 shipment of chicks came in yesterday! I have a small progression of the chicks and their ages here for you all. The first 2 pictures are the chicks at about 1 week old. The next few are some (not very good) pictures comparing our first batch (2weeks old) and the second batch (2days old). They do not sit still long enough for a good picture haha!

They are very cute and fuzzy at 2 days old but the 2 week old chicks are losing the baby fuzz and getting their feathers! That means they are about ready to go outside and get some fresh grass to snack on!

It is officially full-blown springtime!! We got our first shipment of Cornish Cross chicks and 49/50 made it through the first night! In just 7 short weeks we will have delicious birds for you all to enjoy over the Fourth of July🇺🇸🎆!!

We also added a few new members to this little ranch I’m running. Please meet Scooter, Shooter, and Baaaaab our new baby sheep! Baaaaab is very friendly and curious, Scooter is a little stand-off-ish, Shooter is a mix of both, and we love them all!

Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful spring! Only a few more weeks here at NDSU and then it’s back home to work on the farm and raise more chickens! We already have all 200 chicks ordered for this summer and I can’t wait for them to get here! I am loving this weather and I hope it keeps up for when my baby chicks get here!
