A few full days of making- salve, lip balm, lotion bars. Beeswax & tallow base, super nourishing and protecting especially this time of year.

Of course the beekeeper has been filling honey jars too! 🍯 Ready for Santa’s Sleigh Ride 🛷 🎁 , the best of Black Friday shopping!

Is your wooden cutting board looking sad? 😢 Wooden spoons too, need reconditioning every so often. Using nice, food-grade conditioner is the trick!
The bee-man 🐝 works hard to render this wax so it’s nice and clean. Melted with some coconut oil, we store it in the fridge & apply every month or so. Another option is food-grade mineral oil.

This would be beautiful 🤩 and the bees would like it so much better than the spraying of roadsides 🐝 🍯😁. Maybe we could all plant a few more 🌺 🌻🌼🌸🍃🌷🌿.

We're working on securing a no-spray permit for our property, but it's more complicated than I would have thought: (our goal was simple: to avoid having chemicals sprayed near the bees ...which benefits humans too)

🐝Apply (paper, not online)- it's more of a contract
🐝 send $
🐝 roadside herbicide management person comes to your property
🐝review vegetation management rules
🐝property owner maintains the roadside vegetation
🐝the permit only covers PennDot roadside management; it does not include telephone, power, or any other entity.

If you would like the contact information for PennDot Roadside Management, just comment or message me. I am learning along the way, and it's somewhat unsettling to human and earth health. It seems like we should actually have to give permission for chemicals to be sprayed instead of going through hoops to get a No-Spray Permit.
