West Wahkiakum Farmers Market

This Saturday, May 9th- Terrie Howell with (Health & Human Services) will be at the Spring Bazaar at Rosburg Hall 1-4pm signing qualified seniors up for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). This program provides seniors (aged 60 or older / 55+ for Native American/Alaska Native) living in Wahkiakum County with limited income, $80 annually in benefits to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey at authorized farmers markets and farm stands.

A wonderful program to help improve access to high-quality nutrition while supporting local agriculture. and several of its vendors are authorized to accept the SFMNP card.

WIC is another way to receive funds for fresh produce… Pregnant people, new and breast and chest feeding parents, infants, and children under age 5 who financially qualify… come on down to the Spring Bazaar and talk to Terrie to learn more!

WOW! Check out the silent auction items. In particular the vendor basket of goodness!! Wowza. So many things in that basket, I had to spread it out on the table to show it all off.

Friday is the last market day of the season! Come out and support!
• MANY vendors will have tables full of goodness. Expect a full house.
• Raffle at 3pm - many prizes. Get a raffle ticket with a canvas market bag purchase. Extra tickets available for $2
• SILENT AUCTION table set up. Five great things to bid on. (A) Vendor basket of goods including market bag filled with produce. (B) Mason Bee House. (C) Felted Bag. (D) four 4-month old baby peacocks 🦚 (E) Fall wooden “Barn Quilt” 2’x2’
• funds from silent auction and raffle benefit West Wahkiakum Farmers Market in many ways (ie: marketing, workshops, space… etc.)

Wallie! What a great article about you and your ceramic craft. I have a few Wallie Garvey pieces and I LOVE them. A treasure to eat and drink out of a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic gem made by a friend and neighbor.
