Re stocked at Richard's Meats & Things. Spring honey is lighter and more fruity than our normal honey so get it before its gone.

We like to show our success here but you learn alott from failures. Yesterday I learned the hard way what happens when you are not 100% sure the embers from your smoker are extinguished. We were very fortunate that we caught it in time before it got into our pollinator habitat field. Big thank you Oregon hill voulenteer fire department for coming and helping us put it out.

They are hard to see but for NC bee keepers, these flowers are the start of the largest nectar flow we get in the year. Game on ladies, time to get to work!

We love this time of year! As we wrap up all of this season's busy-ness, we soak up the rhythm and routine of closing up and cleaning up after the year. The leaves have fallen, the grass has browned, the temperature is dropping and we let out a few exhales as our hearts fill up with gratitude after another successful season.
