Opening Day 2019 Is May 18th

We’re getting ready for season number 5- wow, it’s been five years already since we started this! Anyway, opening day will be the 18th of May this year. Look for bedding plants/flowers, hanging baskets, veggie flats and more... We also plan to have gift certificates available this season as well.

This year we will be doing something new and I’m still thinking of how it’s all going to work but, this winter I got involved with helping homeless people and I’ve fallen in love with it- I want to be able to use Fruit-N-Scoot to help with that. A couple of things I’m planning on so far: there will be items at the stand that will have a special tag with a big H attached to them. When you see this tag on an item it tells you that the money from the sale of that item goes to help homeless people. With the money, we purchase things like food items and toiletries that our homeless people can use. The homeless encampment in Rochester, called Peace Village, has become rather dear to my heart and most of what we’ve been doing is for them. This spring I want to help get box gardens in place and planted for them. A while back I mentioned starting an online store for Fruit-N-Scoot. The store I ended up starting is another means to help the homeless and right now all there is in it is all the afghans I went crazy and crocheted this winter. I can add other things to it, and will, probably things like maple syrup, glass candy, jams, candles... So, here’s the link to that:

Make sure you check both the front and the sides on the stand- there is stuff everywhere now that so much has come into season

We get new stuff two to three times per week so there's often more variety than what is listed. And of course, there will be more kinds of produce as it comes into season, so stop by and see what all there is.

Canning and Freezing season is getting into full swing- let us know if you would like peaches, tomatoes, etc... for canning or freezing. We can fill bulk orders for you.
