I have a love for teaching and want to use this platform to help inform, inspire, and lead others who want to learn any of the skills I can share. Nestled in the middle of corn, soybean, and wheat fields is our little peice of paradise. It took us a few years longer than planned to get here, but now we are not only working on being as self sufficient as we can on just under 3 acres, but also repai

ring and restoring our 1800's farmhouse and the one original outbuilding still standing. I enjoy gardening, cooking, spending time with family, canning, and crafting. He's the muscle of the farm, helping with all the tasks I need him for and so much more. He has his share of hobbies here as well, and we have raised 4 human children along side of our variety of poultry, goats, pigs, a pet rabbit, a few dogs, cats, and birds.

Few pictures from the greenhouse and some cool rocks I found in the field after a walk in the woods. The greenhouse has stayed warm enough to keep green grass growing and my herbs from the garden have managed to survive in there too. I put some snow on the soil to give them a slow release of earlier as it warmed up. I also put my first seeds in soil, some loofah seeds, to see if they'd begin to grow in these temps.
