The Tornado Warning for Pope County has expired as of 3:15 AM. The storm that prompted the warning has moved out of the warned area, and the threat for Pope County has ended. There were no confirmed reports of a tornado.
We will continue monitoring weather conditions and will provide updates if additional warnings are issued.

🚨 As the storm moves closer to Pope County, we are activating the warning sirens in Pottsville, Russellville, as well as Dover. Dover is being activated due to being connected to the Russellville sirens. No concerns currently in the Dover area.🚨

* At 227 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Fourche Valley, or 15 miles southwest of Danville,
moving northeast at 40 mph.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
