âI am a 55-year old PhD research doctor of biochemical engineering with a personal history as a gym owner/natural bodybuilding, professional large animal genetics/nutrition, and a decorated 10-year light infantry combat soldier (Cold War 1988-1994, Operation Noble Eagle 2001-2002, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2008-2010) and service-connected disabled veteran. After my final 22 months in the US Army light infantry (2009) where I routinely carried over 185 lbs of equipment and body armor into dismounted combat operations, I returned back home to continue bodybuilding in my gym and team-managing my co-owned chemical testing laboratory. However, my body was now replete with overall inflammation, combat injuries, and overuse presenting as tendonitis and arthritis in multiple joints and as various disordered biological systems. Consequently, I launched my own biotech research oand development (R&D) consulting company (2012), focusing my teamâs research in nutraceuticals and synthetic drug alternatives for a wide range of human kinetics support, metabolism repair, gut health, and inflammation mitigation control. My team and I have now spent the past decade studying the benefits of various herbs, spices, and botanicals that have yielded incredible R&D outcomes related to most of these research topics. Notably, the three years of research that we dedicated to anti-inflammatory product development (2013-2016) only yielded limited success. The related clinical trials proved to require an inordinate amount of volume ingredients and time to yield any small but statistically significant improvement in symptoms. Most recently (2026), my hips, shoulder, knee, wrist, and elbow joints have remained inflamed, due largely to having replaced bodybuilding with ocean beach sports (boarding, swimming, and kayaking), despite my intentional reduction in lean muscle body weight from 220 lbs to 185 lbs over the past decade. After trying Gold Tonic for the first time (1 teaspoon twice for a single day) without any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), my hip and shoulder pain was approximately 98% resolved after the first 24 hours. Subsequent maintenance doses have remained at 1 teaspoon twice a day, for two weeks as of the date of this statement. To date, my hip, knee, and shoulder pain is 100% resolved, and my elbow and wrist pain is approximately 75% resolved.
