Hello to All

This is to notify all, that R. Kelley Farms’ farm stand will be open only two more Saturdays. Tomorrow August 27th and next Saturday September 3rd will be the final day.
Sweet corn, tomatoes, okra, peppers, sweet onions (red and yellow), potatoes, green beans, yellow wax beans, Ambrosia melons, seeded watermelons and black seedless watermelons are available for tomorrow for as long as inventory last. There will be less items available for the next Saturday which will be my final day.
Again, thanks for the remarkable support over the past 30 years.

Update for August 10th

Greetings to my loyal customers.

I’m starting the second half of my 2022 summer season and it is the best time to purchase items from R. Kelley Farms. I have sweet corn, tomatoes, okra, onions, potatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers, green beans, yellow wax beans, watermelons and 5 different varieties of sweet, sweet melons available at my Farm Stand at 1120 Scribner Road, Sacramento 95832, on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. I have some of the same items available by clicking “Shop” on my website at www.rkelleyfarms.com that you can order for pick up on Wednesdays or Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
This also is a good time to come for u-pick items within the next 3 weeks. The tomatoes are especially ready for harvest. You can pick any of the items that are available except the watermelons and regular melons.
Again, I thank you for your support over the past 30 years and look forward to seeing yah soon.

Saturday July 23, 2022, Update
I’m glad to report that things are ripening as each week passes. Tomorrow we will have tomatoes, sweet corn, squash, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, yellow wax peppers, okra, green beans, yellow wax beans, onions, potatoes, peaches, melons and watermelons. The farm stand opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays only. I suggest coming within the first 3 hours of opening before some items run out for the day.
Items that are purchased through Barn 2 Door at R. Kelley Farms online store will be available on Wednesday and Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon for pick up. The online store is for people that purchase by box or bag lots.
Method of payment for the farm stand is cash, Venmo app. or EBT. Credit cards are honored through Barn 2 Door online.
The season will pass fast so don’t miss out!!!!

Hello Loyal Customers and Friends

This year will be my year for retiring from farming. I am planning to operate a scaled down version of what I have offered for the past 30 years. I am in the process of structuring what this will be. At this time, I do know that I will no longer grow the fresh southern beans that I have planted in the past. This means no cranberry, blackeye, purple hull nor crowder beans. I do plan to have a limited number of onions, potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, peppers, squash, cucumbers, okra, sweet corn, cantaloupes, and watermelons. The you-pick will be extremely limited and my Farm Stand open on Saturdays only starting sometime in July.
I realize that this will disappoint a lot of my loyal customers, but the time has come for me to rest and enjoy the balance of my time here on earth.
I thank you and God for supporting me through this journey and look forward to seeing you this final season.
