Spring is here, bringing longer days, fresh energy, and a new season for the bees.
As a family-run business for over 40 years, this time of year always feels special. The hives come alive again, and we’re reminded why we love what we do — providing real, raw honey our community can count on.

🍯 Honey of the Month: Orange Blossom
Bright, floral, and sunshine-sweet — our March Honey of the Month is Orange Blossom. This light golden honey carries a delicate citrus aroma with a smooth, floral finish that perfectly captures the feeling of early spring.
Orange Blossom is beautifully balanced: soft and sweet with a gentle citrus note that makes it incredibly versatile. It’s delicious stirred into tea, drizzled over yogurt, spread on warm toast with butter, or used in spring baking and refreshing mocktails.
If spring had a flavor, this would be it — sunshine in a jar.
🐝 Bee Knowledge Bite: Spring Awakening in the Hive
As temperatures rise and days grow longer, honey bees become significantly more active. Spring signals the start of peak foraging season, when worker bees leave the hive daily to collect nectar and pollen from blooming plants.
Inside the hive, the queen increases egg laying, the colony grows rapidly, and honey production begins to build. Spring is one of the most important times of year for a hive’s health and success.
This burst of activity is what makes spring such a powerful and productive season — both for the bees and for the honey they create.

🌸 Join Us at the All Women’s Event
We’re excited to share that Sacramento Honey Company will be hosting a booth at the All Women’s Event on Sunday, March 29th from 11am–4pm.
This free community event celebrates women entrepreneurs, makers, and creatives, and we’re honored to be part of such an inspiring day.
