Help Us Save the St. Augustine Celtic Festival & Highland Games!

The Foundation for Scottish Athletics has proudly provided the Highland Games for the St. Augustine Celtic Festival since the festival’s inception. Learning that the festival had been canceled for the 2027 season was devastating.

St. Augustine is one of our largest and most highly attended Highland Games. Athletes travel from across the country and around the world—not only to compete, but also to experience the history and beauty of St. Augustine.

If there is any possible way to continue the Highland Games with the support of the local community, we are committed to making every effort to do so.

We are exploring options to rent Francis Field and are hoping to connect with local organizers and community partners who can help coordinate the other important parts of the festival, including vendors, Celtic clans, food, and music.

We understand that a new event may need to begin on a smaller scale. That could mean featuring local musicians instead of bringing in nationally known bands or offering fewer activities than in previous years. However, preserving the Highland Games and keeping this treasured St. Augustine tradition alive are of the utmost importance to our athletes and the entire Highland Games community.

Morning friends! We’ve got a big month coming up, including a few big events you won’t want to miss:

This Saturday 4/4, we’re hosting Red Wing Gryphon Rescue for a special adoption event. Bring home your new best friend just in time for Easter! (Guaranteed not to eat the Easter Bunny, they’re vegetarians). Event running all day, 11-7.

Then, on 4/11 we’re partnering with Mayhem Datil Pepper Farms for our first ever Datil Pepper Plant sale! Stop by to pick out your very own Datil plant:) 11am-2pm

Last up, we’ll be in Ocala for their first ever Blueberry Festival 4/24-4/25! More details coming soon;)
