The Senior FMNP cards have been loaded with $30 in benefits each for all participants who applied through May 20 and indicated that they still had their cards, providing their card numbers when applying. FMNP farmers may begin accepting these cards immediately for transactions.

The St. Francisville Farmers Market will be open this Thursday, May 28. This week we will be open from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Located at 9961 Wilcox Street, St.Francisville. Come by the market to see what vegetables are available this week. The spring vegetables have started coming in. We also have eggs, honey, dip mixes, hummus, homemade bread, pepper jelly, regular jelly, salad dressings, fresh mushrooms, pickles, tamales, sweet treats, boiled and roasted peanuts, and our artisans are set up with handmade merchandise. We look forward to seeing everyone at our market. Come early as some of our vendors leave at noon. We are so thankful and appreciative of everyone that supports our market.

The St. Francisville Farmers Market will be open this Thursday, May 21. This week we will be open from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Starting next week time will change to 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The St. Francisville Farmers Market sponsored by the LSU AgCenter and the Town of St. Francisville recently held their annual Vendor meeting. At the meeting new officers, coordinator, and board members were elected. Bylaws were reviewed with no major changes. At the Thursday Farmers Market only home grown or homemade products can be sold. Our hours of operation are changing on Thursday, May 28. New hours will be 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. If anyone has any questions or concerns, you can call the president or the coordinator listed below. We look forward to seeing everyone at the market and thank you for your support. The market is located at 9961 Wilcox Street, St. Francisville.

We would like your opinion on changing the St. Francisville Farmers market hours. The market would still be on Thursdays, but the hours would be 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Instead of 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. We can try out the new times this summer while school is closed and the days are longer. Then if we like the afternoon hours we can adjust them in the fall to accommodate the shorter days. Let me know your thoughts and concerns about the proposed time change. Faye Ritchie
