Lincoln has a very important announcement!!

We are partnering with the School District of Rhinelander to offer our second annual Camp George, a grief camp for children in the Northwoods. Our one day camp will be on Saturday, October 12, 2024 and we will have SDR counselors, psychologists, and others who have experienced loss helping out.

If you have a child in grades Kindergarten through 6th from any area district, who have experienced loss in their life (parent, grandparent, sibling, pet, divorce), we welcome them to join us at CAVOC for the day to engage in grief-related activities. We will design and create t-shirts, break flower pots, and so much more. The cost is $5 per child (to cover the cost of the t-shirt).

Registration will be coming out later in August. If you have any questions, please reach out to Lexi ([email protected]) or visit Camp George's website for more information: https://sites.google.com/rhinelander.k12.wi.us/camp-george/camp-george.)

PEPPERS

Plants should be planted after danger of frost has passed. Plant at soil level. Plants love sun and nutrient rich soils. The better the soils the more fruit you will get. Smaller pepper varieties often give off more in number of fruit than a larger variety of fruit (ex: 20+ serranos, 2-4 larger bell pepper)

2-3 available in each variety

TOMATO PLANTS: $3 each

All plants listed by variety, determinate/indeterminate, and primary uses (sauce, cherry, eating).

Tomatoes should not be planted until all danger of frost has past and temps are stable around 50s

When planting, take off bottom sets of leaves and plant deep with only top few sets of leaves poking out of the soil. More roots will grow on the stem that is below the soil level and help strengthen your plant. Tomatoes are the only plant this works for.
