We don't rush the cider until we get apples that make good cider - this is our early blend of MacIntosh and Gala, and some Honeycrisp because we get a lot of asks.

We also have Honeycrisp apples, Gala, Blondee (an all yellow gala), Golden Supreme, Mollies Delicious, and MacIntosh. We also have Concord and Niagra grapes, with some pears.

Hours are Thursday- Sunday, 11am to 6pm.

An FYI for everyone:

I have helped manage the farm for the Ausra family that has purchased most of the Nye Farm property (but NOT including the Apple Barn/farm market on Niles Road). The Ausras have been operating the 3 roadside stands on Hollywood, Hollywood/Glenlord, and Hollywood/Marquette Woods intersections. The Ausras will also have the Apple Barn on Niles Avenue open Thursday through Sundays from 12-6pm this fall. Offerings include apples (including Honeycrisp), plums, pears, Concord and Niagra grapes, Nye recipe apple cider, and caramel apples (probably next week).

One more, very last batch of cider. Ran out again Sunday, but have a fresh batch of sweet cider pressed Tuesday. Stock up for Thanksgiving, Christmas and to give yourself a yummy taste of Fall all through winter and spring of next year (remove 8 to 10ounces/gallon) and it freezes well for years.

Last hooray for Honeycrisp Caramel Apples, Goldens, Reds, Macs, and a few bags of Melrouge and Mutsu.

I'm trying to be here from 3 to 5:30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 11 to 5:30 Saturday. Sunday I'll be (mostly) in and out as we close for the year.

We were convinced to make one more batch of cider, since we ran out last Sunday. It was made Tuesday and we have less than a third of it left. Get it while you can.

We also made one last batch of Honeycrisp Caramel Apples. Again, limited quantities, so get one to scratch that last itch.

We still have many apples available, but expect to sell out of the follow this weekend: Gala, Mutsu, Golden Delicious, and Melrouge. We have plenty of Jonagold (great all around), Red Delicious, Cameo (firm and sweet), Braeburn (firm and tart), Winesap (awesomely unique), and primarily for baking - Jonathan, Rome, Idared, Pippin, and a few Northern Spy and Cortland.

And of course, we still have HONEYCRISP from our last pick.

I do my best to follow a schedule, but my day job has varying requirements on my time. Here our target hours moving forward:

M-F - the front area (apples, pears and grapes only) is open from 9:30am until close. It is set up as an honor stand/cash only in the green strong box/cylinder. I am here from 4 to close at 5:30 (6:00 if we have customers) with the inside open. Inclement weather may modify this. Inside is larger quantities of all of the apples, plus cider, jams, jellies, honey, maple syrup, etc while supplies last)

Saturdays - everything is open from 11am to 5:30 (6:00 if busy).

Sunday - 11:00am to 2:00pm, maybe a little later if busy, like we may be with nice weather this weekend, but usually Sunday afternoons are dead.

A beautiful weekend ahead !!!

Things are starting to wrap up. Buy any 3 bags of apples for $6.50, get a 4th for $0.50. Buy 4 8oz jams or jellies, get the 5th for $1.00.

We will have the last small batch of Honeycrisp Caramel apples, so get them while you can.

Cider - we pressed last week and only have a couple of dozen gallons left, a few more than that in half gallons. With the nice weather, most of that should be gone this weekend. Cider freezes well for years.

We are getting very low on the following apples, and will have very few after this weekend - Mutsu, Northern Spy, Golden Delicious, Cortland, Melrouge, Gala and Bosc Pears.

Wee ARE Open Today !!! But with that wickedly cold wind we are going to stay buttoned up and will not be putting anything outside, but come on INSIDE.

We have a couple of specials. On apples and pears, buy three 1/2 pack bags, get one of equal or lesser cost for $0.50 ($1.00 for Honeycrisp). Buy 4 Jams or Jellies, get the 5th for $1.00.

Come on in and stock up on our very last batch of sweet, delicious, apple cider. It can be frozen for years. And help us clean up the last dozen caramel apples from Halloween.

We'll be opening at 11:30 to 5:30.
