Almost 30 years. Countless Saturday mornings. One very big community tent. ❤️

The St. Michaels Farmers Market started in 1998 with a few vendors and a big idea: bringing our community together around local food, local farmers, and local makers.

Nearly three decades later, we’re still here, still growing, laughing, shopping, sharing, and showing up together every Saturday morning. 🥕🍅🌻

Now we’re asking our wonderful market community to show up for us one more time!

Wow!! SOLD OUT. 🌾

Dinner en Denim has officially reached capacity — and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to this incredible community for showing up (again) for local farmers, local food, and each other. See you at the table.

BOUNTIFUL!! This is a time of year to love at the St. Michaels Farmers Market.

We’re more than halfway through the season, and you can really see the abundance now. The tables are full, the choices are many, and there’s plenty to take home for today and for later.

This is the time to make sauce for the freezer. Put up some jam or jelly. Stock up on meats. Freeze tomatoes, peppers, fresh garlic. Make and freeze pesto. Buy a little extra now and you’ll be glad you did when winter rolls around.

Or just come for a morning stroll and enjoy the market at its summer best.

There’s a story behind this post. 💛

A longtime market customer stopped by for some fresh corn and mentioned he was making shrimp & grits. “What time’s dinner?” we joked, and then asked if he’d share the recipe.

His printer wasn’t working. “Don’t go to any trouble.” You know how that goes.

But later that day, a copy was hand delivered.

So, Jack, this one’s for you. Thank you for the recipe, and for the reminder that the sweetest moments sometimes arrive in the most unexpected ways.

☀️Saturday mornings are better at the market!

We’re OPEN TODAY from 8:30–11:30 AM at 206 S. Talbot Street in St. Michaels!

Today’s smile belongs to Landon 💛who worked with our friends at Craft Bakery & Cafe 🍪 has headed off for a new adventure with his partner on the other side of the bridge. While we’re excited for whatever comes next, we’ll definitely miss having his big heart in the market!

Thankfully, Craft Bakery continues to share their time, talent and deliciousness here, so the connection continues. And we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Landon makes his way back to St. Michaels in October with live music! 🎶 Coffee For Two
