Thank you to everyone who attended, hosted, organized, spoke at, volunteered for, and amplified yesterday’s community events and conversations. From civic engagement and candidate forums to innovation, technology, and community networking spaces, it was inspiring to see so many people committed to learning, listening, and working together.
These gatherings remind us that building a stronger community requires action—not just conversation. It requires identifying challenges, asking questions, sharing ideas, and collectively exploring solutions that move our city forward. 🌱
At OCGC, we believe cooperation creates possibility. When neighbors, organizations, businesses, and community leaders come together with purpose, we build stronger relationships, stronger systems, and a stronger St. Petersburg for everyone.

One Community Grocery Co-op is excited to announce a special micro launch of our new produce subscription box concept at fellow cooperative Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU - 2180 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704)!
🥬 Fresh • Local • Seasonal • Community-Powered
We’ll have a limited number of curated produce bags featuring locally grown items like collards, arugula, bok choy, radishes, summer squash, microgreens, onions, and more — suggested donation $25 per bag.
✨ Quantities are VERY limited and available first come, first served!
✨ This is an early pilot launch to help OCGC build a stronger local food system rooted in cooperation and community wellness.

Thank you to Tampa Bay Times Spotlight Tampa Bay and Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg for creating and hosting a thoughtful space for community dialogue around food, health, and the future of thriving communities.
OCGC was especially encouraged by the incredible turnout and the many residents, organizers, growers, advocates, and community members who showed up ready to listen, learn, share ideas, and engage in meaningful conversation. These spaces matter. 🗣️✨
A special thank you to our amazing OCGC volunteers and table team for warmly welcoming guests, sharing information about community ownership and food sovereignty, and helping represent the spirit of cooperation throughout the evening. A huge thank you to Ted Cooper, Farm Manager at Daystar Farm, for an incredible tour and for sharing your knowledge, passion, and commitment to growing not only healthy food—but a healthier, stronger community.
From thriving papaya and pineapple plants to beautiful garden beds filled with abundance, the tour was a powerful reminder of what is possible when people care deeply for the land and for one another. 🌿🍍🌱
