Greetings and Happy Holidays to all !
As you know, the Thrill Hill Market has been on hiatus since this past summer. Our community has so many new markets and events happening that it is a challenge for a small neighborhood Sunday market to compete for vendors and for customers, so we wanted to share with our supporters that the Thrill Hill Market will not be revived at this time.
But, several great things have come from our little market. One of the biggest things, is that our home base of the Old Southeast Market, continues to thrive as a neighborhood business, and will continue to host special events in addition to their presence on a daily basis serving the Old SE neighborhood and nearby communities.
Secondly, our little Thrill Hill Market has given rise to new talents and a boost to to existing talents in the area that participated with us.
An example is BadAss & Baubles, with Lori Budnick, who also served as interim market manager. Lori talent of putting together antique and up cycled materials is very unique, and she is now one of the busiest market vendors out there, appearing at multiple Pinellas and Hillsbourough markets and special events almost 7 days a week !
One of our Thrill Hill vendor participants was a newbie to the marketworld - Becky Blitch of "With these Hands", a young woman of great tenacity, who brought her talent of hand painted cards and ornaments and she was one of our most popular vendors. Becky's participation with us inspired her to continue into the market world and you can find her at many popular area markets and special events, as well as very busy with her Etsy site. We are "thrilled" that we did a bit of help to get this shining spirit started.
Mandalina's textiles, Refashioned, Drift Away Australian Oil of Eucalyptus and Feathers, Fate and Steel Boutique and many more of our participants, continue to be very busy with area markets and pop up events and we are so grateful that they took the time to help and support our little market.
We hope that everyone continues to support so much talent out there in our community at any event that you can attend - it is what makes our city so special, and we appreciate your continued support to Old Southeast Market and all they have done, to create a little piece of heaven in Old Southeast neighborhood !
