Dreaming of your own cut flower, cup of tea or dahlia patch? Enjoy the overflow of our fields! Meander to the greenhouse behind the big red barn, and browse our little pop-up. While we officially open in July, spring has always been a time for Gardenworks to support your gardening efforts, and we’re excited to carry on that tradition, albeit a bit differently. Self-serve, 7am-dark, please bring cash or check (by July we should have electronic payment options). *You may also place an online order for dahlia tuber pickup from our website store, you will receive an email when your order is ready.

Behind the scenes: seeding, seeding, watering, tending, transplanting, fabric laying, support installing, airbnb completing, and lots of mowing and w**d eating! It’s full time all the time in beautiful weather and not, and we love it! Dirt is constantly under our fingernails… we properly scrub before leaving the farm about 33% of the time. We’ll surely get better 🤣

Spring also brings along finishing up our school year complete with a field trip to Boston, a dance performance, mountain biking races and practice, half marathon, etc😀
We are so thankful for all of these good things.

Mad dash spring is here and this Texan is SO thankful it’s finally warm.

We are thrilled to break dormancy with this beautiful edition of Edible Magazine, Capital District and a lovely back office feature- an interview with Meg and Kelsey on diversification to stay sustainable. Hunter and Kelsey came across the Edible Magazine franchise over a decade ago and have eagerly looked forward to each season’s release, no matter where we were living, for years! Gardenworks Farm is a dreamy place for the edible conscious and it has always been a dream to imagine it featured among the gorgeous photos and thoughtful articles of Edible. Dream come true! In the article, the fourth generation’s vision for a sustainable farm and community gathering place is debuted as Taste + See Refuge Farm, much like Meg debuted Gardenworks Farms decades ago. Visit our website to catch the dream and join us as we again plant many seeds with much joy and hope. We look forward to continuing to steward this beautiful land and honorable heritage for the community. A beautiful start to the New Year! We returned from Rochester, NY where Mac Clan Farm was recognized as a Century Farm, and Meg and Rob’s steadfast, creative, generous and faithful stewardship, honored. The award was given at the New York State Agricultural Society Forum Annual Meeting and honors farms that have continually operated on the same land by the same family for more than 100 years. The 3rd, 4th and 5th generations all attended!
