A quick harvest tonight as the thunder rolled in! Had to cut the Dinner Plate bloom off because it was so heavy it about snapped the plant off at the base. 🫣 Also, hello! I don’t think I’ve really formally introduced myself on here. I’m Cassie Nattier. This is our second year flower farming thanks to the dedication of my family who puts up with my shenanigans. 😝 Fun (not so fun) fact: in the fall of 2024 we planted 345 peonies. Then come fall of 2025, we moved and had to dig up all of those to transplant to our new place in addition to the 180 I had ordered before knowing we would be moving. 🥲 We lost a few while transplanting so we’re sitting at about 515 peonies currently. Couldn’t have done it without my husband, dad and father-in-law. 🫡 We are at our dream place & I have so many ideas for the future of our flower farm here!
Other things about me:
•I have two adorable kiddos who are getting really good at identifying flowers. 😉
•We have a cat, a few dogs, goats and a plethora of chickens. We seem to bring home a new animal at least twice a month. 🤣
•I’m an OB RN & IBCLC. Nothing’s stronger than a mother. 💪🏼
•Planting & harvesting flowers helps me tap into the creative side of my brain rather than being in the analytical side which is where I’m usually at. 🙃
Thanks for being here and supporting our little farm! 💐
