The Salida Farmers Market begins on Saturday June 6th and operates from 8 am - 12 pm! We are still accepting vendor applications for the 2026 season.

Through the markets, Foodshed Alliance's mission is to strengthen relationships between local producers and consumers and support our community's agricultural, cottage foods, concessionaire, and artisan small businesses, with the vision of facilitating a thriving, sustainable buy-local economy in Chaffee County.

THIS SATURDAY DECEMBER 20th 10 am - 1 pm at the Fairgrounds 🎡🥦🧚🎠🎄🥕

Come join us for your last chance to buy some amazing winter produce and some unique and special last minute holiday gifts!

We’d like to thank all of our wonderful vendors for showing up and showing out for a total of 27 Saturdays this year 🫶 and we’d like to thank Chaffee County for shopping locally all year long and supporting the farmers markets 🫶 We would NOT be here without any of you!

These beautiful people make up some of the “Market Crew”, a group of wonderful community members who come to the Foodshed Alliance Salida and winter farmers markets every single Saturday 🫶 they’re so official they even made a little sign 🥹 couldn’t not share because this is so wholesome and sweet 🏡

Today is Chaffee Gives Day ✨ A wonderful day to donate to all the amazing nonprofits that are participating in this incredible fundraiser 🤍 with the help of puts on this incredible fundraising opportunity highlighting nonprofits all around the state every single year. We are honored to take part this year as we raise money for our Farmers Feed Chaffee food donation program. Using donated funds, the Foodshed Alliance procures food from local Chaffee County food producers and assembles it into boxes to give to community members in need 🏡 The food boxes typically include fresh produce, fresh bread, and local meat and cheese 🥩🧀🥕🥦

Your donations help support our mission and directly help families in our community that are currently facing food security challenges 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🍎

THANK YOU for those who have donated so far and for those who continue to support the Foodshed Alliance and the Chaffee County farmers markets 🙏 we wouldn’t be here without all of you!

Extremely grateful for Nikki Ritter and all the wonderful folks at the for their generous donations of pet food to our Farmers Feed Chaffee weekly food box program 🐶🐱
Over 35 families in the community are currently receiving weekly local food boxes through this program and thanks to AVHS, are now including pet food as well 🙏

These guys make such a difference in our community and we are so grateful 🤍

Also shoutout to all of our AMAZING volunteers who have helped to facilitate this program so far, and shoutout Betsy with the for all your help, we couldn’t have done it without all of you!

THANK YOU to Chaffee County Mutual Aid for facilitating the drop off of all of our donated food in the food drive! And lastly, thank you to all of our incredible community members who have donated to our food drive or donated funds towards our Farmers Feed Chaffee program 🫶
