Meet our 2026 Farm Grantees: Filbert Street Garden 🌻 ()

Located in Baltimore, Maryland, Filbert Street Garden is an urban farm addressing local food access by giving away tons of fresh produce and thousands of eggs through its curbside pantry. The garden’s primary cash crop is honey, harvested from one of the city’s largest beeyards. With support from a $5,000 FruitGuys Community Fund grant, the organization will purchase an industrial honey bottling system and glass jars to improve efficiency and help grow revenue that directly supports its hunger-relief mission.

We’re proud to support farms like Filbert Street Garden that are nourishing their communities, expanding food access, and creating sustainable local impact 💚

Stay tuned as we spotlight all of this year’s changemakers!

Kiwi hack for the office 🥝

While you can eat kiwis whole (skin and all!), most people stick to the sweet inner fruit. One of the easiest ways to enjoy them at work? Slice your kiwi in half to make two little “cups,” then scoop it out with a spoon for the perfect refreshing snack.

Simple, juicy, and desk-friendly ✨

Meet our first 2026 Farm Grantee: Ashokra Farm 🌱 ()

Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ashokra Farm grows fourteen varieties of okra using low-till farming practices in the high desert climate. With support from a $3,390 FruitGuys Community Fund grant, the farm will establish a fruit tree orchard and perennial food forest protected by drought-tolerant wind berms designed to reduce topsoil loss and help retain moisture in challenging growing conditions.

We’re proud to support farms like Ashokra Farm that are building climate resilience, protecting soil health, and creating long-term sustainability for their communities. 💚
