Smallgoods American Cheeses & Provisions started in the San Diego Farmer’s Markets in November, 2015. In February 2020, just 3 weeks before Covid, we opened our brick-and-mortar shop. Lousy timing! But, we’re proud to have made it to the other side. We’re our version of a gourmet deli, cafe, caterer and some say we make the best sandwiches and cheese & party platters around. Nice to see a new cheese from Vermont’s, Parish Hill in the shop. And, it’s quite a departure from their usual raw-cow milk cheeses., too.

This is Dandy Charmer, a sheep’s milk, taleggio-style cheese. The pudgy and slightly sticky rind has been washed with their own farm-made dandelion which gives the cheese a fruitier and more botanical spin than say a classic taleggio. Yum.

It’s the shop now. 🧀🤟
