When life handed me lemons, I thought, “What the heck, more lemons!”
Recently displaced from my career as a conservation biologist, I was not thrilled. But, at least it would allow me more time to spend with my little one. Bossy to eat anything healthy has been brutal business. One afternoon, between submitting my trillionth resume, and the daily mealtime wrestling match, I had an epiphany. Why n
ot disguise healthy? So, I raided the kitchen, and whipped up my first batch of fresh, frozen fruit pops. Amazingly, she gobbled them up. The next day, I decided to test them out on the neighbor kids. They gladly obliged, devouring the tasty frozen goodies. However, they seemed a bit puzzled and asked, “What’s in these, they taste different?” Surprisingly, the kids had never tasted an all natural popsicle. Voilà, Cosmic Pops was formed. Mission: To provide a fresh, all natural frozen treat that is fun, tasty and environmentally responsible. Goal: To be as eco-friendly and waste free and as possible. Philosophy: Take no more than you need, give back as much as possible. Make a positive contribution for family, community and future generations. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! All of my pops are made with local produce only, and fruit waste goes to community gardens. My mode of transportation is a tricycle.
