WE’RE HIRING! We are looking for a passionate, dependable, and customer-focused Full-Time Cheesemonger to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves food, thrives in a team environment, and is interested in building a long-term career in specialty food and hospitality.

🕐 Hours: Full-time, 32 hours guaranteed, with the opportunity to pick up up to 8 additional hours when available

💵 Starting Wage: $17.75/hour + tips

🩺 Benefits: Health benefits available

🚗 Locations: Must be able to work at all three Venissimo locations: Del Mar, North Park, Mission Hills

📆 Schedule: Flexible availability required

🚙 Transportation: Reliable transportation required

🚘 Deliveries: Must be available and willing to assist with deliveries

✨ Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, warm, and knowledgeable customer service
- Cut, wrap, and sell cheese, charcuterie, and specialty foods with care and attention to detail
- Engage customers through recommendations, tastings, and education
- Participate in staff education, trainings, and team activities
- Assist with deliveries and inventory as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment
- Communicate effectively and remain responsive via text and email

We’re heading to Spain—no passport required—as we join the Eat Spain Drink Spain 2026, a nationwide love letter to the flavors that Spain does best. Our case is filling up with the good stuff: nutty, caramel-y sheep’s milk cheeses, perfectly sliceable wedges for snacking, and those irresistible sweet-and-savory pairings (hello, membrillo) that make every bite feel a little indulgent.

We’ll be celebrating all month long with Spanish-inspired grilled cheeses, curated pairings, and a few special surprises along the way—so you can linger, snack, and savor like you’re tucked into a sunny plaza somewhere.
